Bend Winterfest

The Northwest Community Bend WinterFest presented by Mt. Bachelor would like to thank all of the sponsors, vendors, and attendees for making the 2010 Bend WinterFest a huge success!

The Northwest Community Bend WinterFest presented by Mt. Bachelor broke attendance records for 2010. The festival, which took place Valentine’s Day weekend in the Old Mill District, saw 32,000 people throughout the three days.

Festival attendees, hailing from as far away as Central California and Canada, enjoyed the WinterFest weekend with draws such as the U.S. Cellular Rail Jam, music from acts including The Gourds and Hell’s Belles, the Whole Foods Marketplace, and this year’s newest event, Sunday’s Metal Mulisha. Justin Homan, a Redmond resident, was a Metal Mulisha rider at Sunday’s event. “It was fun to be in front of a hometown crowd,” he said. “The team had a great day and we were glad to be a part of [WinterFest].”

Every year, Lay It Out Events designates a local charity to receive a portion of the proceeds from WinterFest. Lay It Out Events is proud to present this year’s charity, Saving Grace, with a check for over $9,000. Saving Grace, a local non-profit, provides comprehensive family violence and sexual assault services and promotes the value of life without violence. Since 2005, the WinterFest has awarded over $30,000 to local charities.
